Plan your Visit
Venturing into a new place for the first time can sometimes be tough and even intimidating for some. It may also be down-right uncomfortable for many – especially considering that it’s church. We understand! We’ve designed our Sunday services to be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
No matter where you are on your journey with God, we believe you will feel at home at River Ridge. Whether it’s your first time in a church, you are coming back to church or you’ve been in a church since you’ve been in the womb, we would love to have you join us and decide for yourself.
When you visit River Ridge, it is our sincere desire to make you feel welcome the minute you drive onto the campus. Expect a wave from the parking team, a warm handshake at the door, and lots of smiling faces.
you've got options
We have two services to choose from at River Ridge Charleston; 9:45 am or 11:15 am. Both are the same format. No matter which service you attend, feel free to come early, get the kids registered, have some coffee and enjoy some donuts.
Make sure to stop by the Welcome Center too, especially if it's your first visit. We’ve got a little something for you. While in the lobby or the auditorium, Guest Services volunteers will always be near (wearing blue lanyards, name badges, and grey shirts) to answer any questions you have and point you in the right direction.
What to Expect
A place where we want you to feel welcome regardless of who you are, where you've been, or what you've done.
what to wear
You’ll find that we dress comfortably at River Ridge. You will see folks in jeans, shorts, and dress clothes. Feel free to show up in what you feel comfortable wearing.
Where to park
Parking is simple at our Charleston Campus. After coming up the driveway, you'll be greeted by a smiling volunteer in a blue safety vest ushering you to the nearest available spot! (Handicap parking is also available.)
Before, during & After
Once inside the building, head to the Coffee Bar for some fresh coffee and a few donuts holes (from Donut Connection!). Whether in the lobby or the auditorium, Guest Services volunteers will always be nearby to help out.
Once in the auditorium, it will be time to for the Worship Team to do their thing! Expect a Christ-centered worship experience led by a team of talented volunteer musicians playing current music at a volume level you’d expect to hear at a small concert. All the songs we sing are either about God or to God, and we’d love for you to sing along to the lyrics on the screens, but really you can respond to the worship in whatever way you are comfortable. Following the music, one of our pastors will give a sermon lasting approximately 30 minutes, combining sound Biblical teaching with culturally relevant and practical life applications. Each service lasts approximately 1 hour.
After the service, you are welcome to hang out by the fireplace, drink more coffee, eat more donuts and catch up with friends.
Our Guest Services team will help you get the little ones registered for RidgeKids (Birth to 5th grade) and will make sure you know exactly where the kids will be. You can check your kids in at one of our check-in kiosks, where volunteers will help ensure that your child will have a safe, fun, age-appropriate experience.
For your first visit, stop by the registration desk to fill out a quick form and next time you come back, you can check-in your kids at one of our self-serve kiosks.
